June 5, 200917 yr But if Kobe plays like this every game and the Magic can't knock down shots. Woah!!!! It could be a long series for D-Howard and the Magic. I think the Magic will start knocking down shots. They could make it a series. Lakers have been lights out in the 2nd half.
June 5, 200917 yr Old man Fisher has played nicely tonight....he must be well rested.....he's playing like a 13 year vet with 3 rings....... He is playing well. I don't really have a care who wins this series because I like players on both teams, + I like Phil Jackson. Fisher has been a player that I enjoy watching and respect, I am glad he is playing better tonight than the past series.

June 5, 200917 yr On a side note, anyone else think that Nelson kinda hurt the Magic? He played well individually, but I think he really changed their offense once he was in. The Magic had thrived in the pick and roll with Turkoglu lately, but it just didn't seem like they did it enough while he was in the game in the 2nd quarter. The Lakers went on a 10-0 run while the Magic shot bricks, and the game was over.
June 5, 200917 yr ^Definitely interesting and something that they should evaluate. He did play very well individually. I am honestly surprised he played and played as much as he did. It's hard for a team to get so use to playing together for such a long time and then throw in a whole new piece.

Also with him in for Alston he takes another shooter off the floor. That limits the Magic because of the style of Howard's and Hedu's game, IMO. I almost hate to say this, but the Magic don't look like they even belong on the court with the Lakers. They might not. They really might not be the best in the East. The Celtics would have been a tougher out with KG, and the Cavs just don't have the ability to match up with them (the Magic). I would think that it is possible that either of those teams would have still matched up better with the Lakers. It's just one game though. If the Magic shoot well they could make it a series. The way this Laker team fails to show up sometimes I would hate to already pencil them in as the champs. BTW, that was garbage that Kobe said about this title wouldn't be more important to him. This is what he wanted and he's proving that tonight.

I think we all knew that when Shaq came out with his song last year after the Finals, that Kobe would do any and everything to make it back to the Finals. If the Lakers win the championship:lol:, it will be the greatest accomplishment in Kobe's career and he knows it, he just can't say it.
June 5, 200917 yr I just didn't like how the first ones were trying to create a rivalry that isn't there. I never looked at it that way. I looked at it as the 2 best players in the world sharing a commercial because they both wear Nike's. Plus they are my two favorite players so that helps also.
June 5, 200917 yr Kobe has already been quoted as saying that winning the Gold medal and bringing respect back to USA in the international game was his greatest accomplishment. That quote was before he won a title without Shaq though (assuming the Lakers win this).
