May 23, 200917 yr The UKAA has called a press conference for 10:00am tomorrow morning. Media has been alerted but the details are very very sketchy. Spoke with a media member tonight, and the word from DeWayne Peevy is that it is bad. I dont think it is grades related or of the ilk. I am being led to believe that it is an issue with Rich Brooks health.

He has been traveling places and doing many things.
May 23, 200917 yr Author Rumblings about steroid use. Dont think that would be worthy of a presser. UKAA called the presser, not the Athletic Dept. Either health issues or violation issues.
May 23, 200917 yr I've heard the steroids rumors and Brooks' health rumors, and I'm not sure which to believe. Regardless it doesn't seem like it's going to be good news at all tomorrow morning.
May 23, 200917 yr Not sure on the health issues but FWIW Brooks was out this past week on a houseboat on Lake Cumberland and showed absolutely no signs of any health issues.
May 23, 200917 yr I think he is retiring and Coach Phillips is the new coach. If there where anything wrong..it would have been leaked.

May 23, 200917 yr I sure hope we don't have violation issues. Maybe it's just the passing of the torch to Joker?
May 23, 200917 yr I sure hope we don't have violation issues. Maybe it's just the passing of the torch to Joker? Seems like something like this would have a lot more lead time to make sure as many media folks as possible could be there. When pressers are called this hastily, it's never a good thing.

May 23, 200917 yr For what it's worth: Aaron Boyd just posted on his Twitter, "I'm praying for my dog, Rich Brooks!"
