Does anybody know who won the Boys and Girls AAA titles?

The Newport Central Catholic girls won the State 1a Title Saturday .

NewCath girls had a great day. Based on the seedings from the regionals they should have lost to St. Henry by about 20 points, instead they win 5 events and win the meet by 20 points. Outstanding job. Several other notable performances by locals Nieser from Brossart and Stoll from Villa in the boys meet.

After viewing the video, I see no reason to run the race again.

Here is the video. Someone please explain how this was a foul. Both boys tripped over their own hurdles.

Die Hard Blue...You truly believe this race should have been ran over?

Where did I say that it should have been ran over? Anyway, my answer is no. It doesn't change the fact that CovCath won fair and square, and that is something you have a hard time realizing.

The officials had the option of running the entire heat over if they believed the interference occurred or they could have had those who were affected by the interference run the heat again. There were two choices once the runner from PT was disqualified. I believe that the incorrect choice was made as the Central runner clearly won the heat and was not involved in the interference.

Was the runner from Paducah Tilghman really disqualified? He didn't interfere with anyone, and besides, it didn't matter because he didn't finish the race.
What a joke? This state final was the worst officiated meet in the history of all track meets. Central kid wins the 300 hurdles and is forced to run it again at the end of the meet. PT kid falls in the lane of another which makes him fall. This is what is told to Central coaches. After watching it on WHAS 11 there was no foul.

The officials makes the Central kid run the race over. After running the last leg of the 4X4. Giving him only 15 minutes to recover. Central kid falls in the 2nd 4x4 and the team loses the state title.

If you can live with yourself and know that you guys really did not win that championship, it is a great day. But everyone with the exception of CovCath fans know the truth. When as a race every been ran over. You guys were so rude, that you didn't even clap for the kid as he made it over the last hurdles after falling. Knowing he just ran the last leg of the 4x4 and your kid had not ran a race for the past 2 hours. Class Act.

Why did I put it on the football forum? Because you know, just like I know, everyone reads the football forums. I assume you do not want the state to know the truth. Don't tell me to get over it. Watch the film, it does not lie.

Or Centrals coach could have pulled the runner from the 4x4 to give him time to rest before he had to run the hurdles again, which the coach knew he was going to have to do before the 4x4.:D

Which is exactly what the Cov Cath coach did. I believe he also filed an appeal NOT to run the race over. But since they did it, he pulled his guy from the 4X400 and saved him for the 300 hurdles. Sounds like smart coaching to me

Forgot to say Congrats to the Colonels. Very impressive to be ranked 5th going into State and to pull off the upset. With a young team this year, look for even more from you guys next year!
