May 22, 200917 yr This has probably been discussed on here before but I just got to thinking and thought that I would ask this question. Should you have to win a game and had your choice of starting pitchers that you have seen who would you give the ball to for a have to have game? My choice would no doubt be Bob Gibson.
May 22, 200917 yr Very big kudos and respect for the one who can tell me the owner of these stats. 2-0 with a 0.36 ERA in 3 World Series starts.
May 22, 200917 yr If I can pick anyone all time: Bob Gibson. A remarkable 7-2 with a 1.89 ERA in the World Series. 92 K's in 81 IP also. If it had to be someone today: Josh Beckett

May 22, 200917 yr I'd seriously consider Roy Halladay. I know he hasn't done much (if anything) in the playoffs, but the guy defines consistency.
