I tried the Mtn Dew throwback and it has a bit of the Diet soda taste to me. Didn't like it.

I was going to write the exact same thing. It tasted like they took diet soda and added sugar to it, it did not taste as good. I have previously had suger flaver Coca Cola and I thought it was distinctively better, I have not tried the Pepsi.

Not a huge fan of the new Pepsi Throwback...tastes a little too sweet for me.

Technically, they already have that. It's called Mexican Coke. If you can get a Coke imported from Mexico (usually at a Mexican restaurant) they all use real sugar.

 

 

As for "Where can you get it?" I bought my first Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback at a Shell station in Pikeville, KY. Then yesterday I found a Pepsi Throwback at the tobacco store behind where I work in Richmond.

Look for the two liters with the yellow tops. Stores carry it for passover. If you can't find it go to a Mexican grocery store or restaurant.

Mt. Dew throwback is awful, it tasted like a cheap flat version of the new Mt.Dew!!!

Thanks guys. I was in the the Riviera Maya 2 years ago and had coca cola. I really enjoyed it and now I know why. Thanks for the info guys.

High Fructose Corn Syrup is a no, no due to corn not being allowed.

I've been looking for this stuff for weeks. If anyone finds it in the NKY area, please let me know. On another board, the guys on the west coast and east coast have been talking about it for weeks, and I cannot find it in our area. Almost everyone that's tried it that I know says they like it better.

Had the chance to try Mt.Dew Throwback yesterday. Didn't realize it wasn't regular Mt.Dew until I was finished and looked at the can. So I guess it tastes pretty much the same. I'd buy it just for the old school pop tab on top.
