Track the Reds (Week 6)

Featured Replies

Here's my brilliant thoughts and questions on the Reds for discussion.:D

They obviously aren't going to hit like this the rest of the year. They also aren't going to hit as poorly as they did at the beginning. Where is the happy medium and what kind of run production does it bring?

How good is Votto really? Has he scratched the surface?

At what point does the veteran trio of Weathers, Rhodes, and Coco start blowing leads and how does the team react?

I think they still need to trade for at least one right handed power bat if they are still in the race in a month.

They're starting pitching is the best in the NL.

Jared Burton will end up being the key guy for them. He needs to step up and be a big presence in close games when the older guys do start to struggle.

Question of those of you who watched the game Tuesday night? Was Michah Owings ejected in the 8th inning for hitting a player? I read this on the internet, but I didn't think that is what happened.

He was not ejected but im pretty sure right after he hit the guy Dusty brought in the bullpen.

When do they play again. Saturday?

Friday in San Diego.

Or do all the armchair GM's still want him traded, which was a discussion in last weeks threads.:idunno:

I don't think we have to worry about hearing that on here any more. I remember a quote something to the efect of "who needs a gold glove second baseman to win a world series" ...

I think I'll go to bed, and DVR this game. The Reds are 2-0 in this series when I do that.

Same plan tonight correct? You might not be allowed watching many games live if they keep their current tear going.

Harang gets a huge break on a 3-2 pitch to the opposing pitcher.
