May 1, 200917 yr I'm not sure how I'm going to do it, but I'm going to bet the following horses: I Want Revenge Pioneerof the Nile Papa Clem Musket Man
May 1, 200917 yr I'm going with a super boxed of 5-13-16-12 or a tri boxed of 5-13-16 but I lose much more than I win so take it with a grain of salt. Good luck.
May 1, 200917 yr I don't necessarily know if it's a "good bet," given my recent history of futility in the Derby, but I'm going with some combination of Dunkirk and Friesan Fire on top, with Papa Clem, General Quarters and perhaps Musket Man and Desert Party underneath. If the weather forecast doesn't look good, I'll likely move General Quarters up some, as his pedigree suggests he might like a wet track.
May 1, 200917 yr I am in love with Friesan Fire, and I'm hoping its a sloppy track because that helps him even more..

But, I'm the furthest thing from an expert you'll find when it comes to horse racing.
May 1, 200917 yr There is an Oaks/Derby daily double. I went with Tweeter and Hold Me Back. For the derby I like Hold Me Back and Dunkirk as an exacta box. These brilliant picks courtesy of someone who has won one Derby in over 30 years of trying!:sssh:

They're both appealing because A) They've performed on dirt, and figure to be overlooked a bit because folks will be hammering on I Want Revenge and B) Friesan Fire seems to love the wet track, and Dunkirk should like it. I'm steering clear of the synthetic track horses, most notably Chocolate Candy and Pioneerof the Nile.
