May 1, 200917 yr He didn't come right out and say the go on contact play was on, but he talked about what a great 1st game Rosales had, how impressive he had been in spring training and Louisville, and how he expected him to continue to play well. They also talked to Rosales after the game, and in the locker room. He would have mentioned it if he had made a baserunning mistake. You could also tell from just watching the game, and watching the reaction from the 3rd base coach during the play. The runner on 2nd was also breaking on contact on the play. So he didn't say that it was a play, and just because he didn't say Rosales screwed up, that means it was definitely a play? :idunno:
May 2, 200917 yr This is getting aggravating. Why is Phillips still batting 4th going into May? Yes, very aggravating. Something else that's aggravating is watching pitchers pitch around rookies to get to guys like Gonzo.:irked:
May 2, 200917 yr I love this Rosales, gets picked off and goes to the dugout and stats talking with Taveras.
May 2, 200917 yr Reds 3 outs away from their 4th shutout of the season. Best pitching they've had up there in years.
May 2, 200917 yr ^ What did you guys say? Probably spoke too soon, but it still does not change my opinion of him batting 4th at all.
May 2, 200917 yr Author Note to Dusty: Please don't bring Cordero in with a lead more than 3 runs. It's a recipe for disaster.
May 2, 200917 yr Author ^ How so? Just remember two blown games involving Co Co, the Marlins and Cody Ross last year. Co Co proved me wrong tonight, and I'm very happy about that.
