I don't think anyone believes Rosales is going to be answer to all of the Reds offensive problems. He is someone who will bring some excitment, and a new energy to the club I believe, and provide a little more offense than we've been seeing at 3rd base.

As I've said numerous times, I don't have an opinion one way or the other on who should be here, whether it be Edwin or Rosales. I just don't agree at all with how you guys use a certain set of standards to judge whether one crappy player (Edwin) should be replaced with another crappy player (Rosales), but completely different ones to judge whether another crappy player (Gonzo), should be replaced with a crappy player (Janish). I just wish Reds fans were consistent. I don't know, maybe I'm just not used to having to deal with choosing between crappy and crappy.

Right now Gonzo is less crappy than Janish and Rosales is less crappy than E-5. Does that simplify it enough?
April 30, 200917 yr I didn't say he wasn't. Just that a great debut isn't necessarily an indicator of what's going to happen every day. If Rosales can produce like Bruce has, I'd be tickled. That would trump anything else they've got from 3rd base in years. Bruce is on a 40hr pace.

The runner on third (Rosales) was going on contact. Taveras hit one to third, and Rosales was an easy out, as he broke for home on contact.

April 30, 200917 yr Well its pretty simple really. Right now Gonzo is less crappy than Janish and Rosales is less crappy than E-5. Does that simplify it enough? The numbers don't back it up....Janish has better numbers albeit in a very small sample. Like I said, I'm not used to having between different degrees of bad, but I guess you Reds fans have a better grasp on that...
