I have no problem with her being fired. If you hold the girls to one standard, then their leader should be held to the same standard.
April 20, 200917 yr I thought the parents sounded quite petty. I wouldnt have a problem with it, but I can understand why a school would fire her. She did nothing illegal (possibly immoral in some people's views). It is difficult to hold adults to the same standards that you hold a child. I would be willing to bet that every father in that school has checked out the evidence. I would also be willing to bet that very few of the outraged mothers are free of moral indiscretions.

I think this is a conversation I might bring up for a project that I need to do for a Racism/Sexism class and see what my professor thinks.
April 20, 200917 yr 1st I'm in no way shape or form a prude and I have every intention of looking at the evidence. That said if the school has a policy that expects high standards of conduct from their students including not posting racy pictures on sites like My Space that I have no problem with the coach being dismissed. You can't expect one level of behavior from the students if the coaches are exempt from it. If the coach knew about those expectations then her "if people don't want to see don't look" defense is particularly troublesome and hypocritical.

April 20, 200917 yr Did she pose nude before she was hired for the job? Or was it while she was working for the school? I don't know if they said, I might have missed that. Would it make a difference either?
April 20, 200917 yr I definately believe the coach was turned in over the girl not being allowed to try out. I also think that the coach should be fired.
