April 20, 200917 yr 1st I'm in no way shape or form a prude and I have every intention of looking at the evidence. That said if the school has a policy that expects high standards of conduct from their students including not posting racy pictures on sites like My Space that I have no problem with the coach being dismissed. You can't expect one level of behavior from the students if the coaches are exempt from it. If the coach knew about those expectations then her "if people don't want to see don't look" defense is particularly troublesome and hypocritical. I expect the kids in the school to not participate in alcohol consumption. Should I expect the same for teachers?
April 20, 200917 yr These parents have an axe to grind. I see nothing wrong with what she did. Not like she was shooting hardcore porn. Playboy is a classy magazine with lots of celebrities posing. No way she should have been fired, and good example Clyde!
April 20, 200917 yr In a way, this reminds me of an incident that happened in the late 90's. A basketball coach was put under investigation, due to parents' complaints, for taking the team to Hooter's. I know that it is a far stretch to compare Hooter's to Playboy, but the basic principle is the same. Parents who have an axe to grind with a coach will find a way to cause trouble for the coach.

In the April edition of GQ lying on my night stand there are several pictures of women in bathing suits that I'm sure are considered racy. I've seen many pictures of teachers out enjoying the sun that are essentially the same. I don't think a teacher should be fired for something like that (though I also don't see why they should be fired for posing nude). The bold part of your statement is Puritanical thinking....something I wouldn't expect from a guy discussing women in sun dresses in another thread.
