How are you going to try and play that card and say Janish is a viable replacement for Gonzo.

Gonzo is a career .247 hitter. I am very confident in saying that Janish can hit between .230-.240 if he plays every day.

 

 

So why replace Gonzo with someone who you only feel can hit only 7-17 points lower than Gonzo's career average? Doesn't make much sense. Do you think the Reds are going to just eat his $5 million dollar salary?

Yes, I'm very confident that Rosales can be an improvement on what Encarnacion is offering right now. Encarnacion needs a wake up call.

Based on what I've seen out of Encarnacion so far this season. He is completely lost at the plate. What is it going to hurt to send him down, and give Rosales a chance for a 2-3 week period?

He's 5-14 this year....Shoot it took Gonzo until Friday night to get hit #5....

He'll end up with between 15-22 HRs and 60-80 RBI, just like he has the past 3 seasons....Do you think Rosales can come close to that?

Meanwhile you think it is ridiculous to replace Gonzo with Janish who, so far has been hot in the Majors.
