Track the Reds (Week 3)

No, but you and HT act like those that think Janish should be given a shot because Gonzo's numbers are pitiful have no clue. The hypocrisy of that while at the same time claiming that Rosales needs to be given a chance over E5 is a joke.

Gonzo has an excuse for getting off to such a slow start. Gonzo also hustles, and plays great defense. What is E-5's excuse for being totally lost, and even more so, what is his excuse for his laziness?

Make sure it's the donkey avatar LRCW.:D

Oh no, he'll be sporting a Red Sox avatar.

Rosales has only posted 15 plus homers once in his minor league career.

How many games has he averaged in those minor league seasons? He hit 11 HR's in 1117 games last year.

Gonzo has an excuse? Really? What is that?

Let me guess, you're going to say because he was hurt last year....Boo hoo. He has no excuse, just like Edwin doesn't. If you're okay with one being replaced you have to be okay with the other being replaced.

Honestly, it probably makes little difference, who plays those 2 positions. Barring several trades the Reds look like they are going to be severly below average offensively at third, shortstop, left field and catcher all season.

Yeah, being totally away from the game for one year has no bearing on a guys game, and hitting. Gotcha.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

He's averaged a homer every 35 at bats against minor league pitching. That would be just barely 15 homers in an average season--against MINOR LEAGUE pitching. Do you think he won't have any drop off against major league pitching?

Or he could very well see a pick up in production. Many times players hit better at the major league level due to better lighting, better travel conditions, and seeing more strikes. Who knows? Playing at GAPB, and being surrounded by better hitters in the linuep could also help his production. You never know. All I do know is that replacing E-5 with Rosales for a two -three week period sure isn't going to hurt the Reds any. Like I said it might just be the wake up call Enarnacion needs. I think Encarnacion has the better potential, but we've been waiting on that potention for almost 4 years now. Encarnacion has shown no improvement, and his laziness just burns right through me. Something needs to be done.

You had a legit argument till that UKMF. Being out of the game for that long is a huge difference.

I'm tired of hearing well he has huge potential, are we ever going to see it pan out?

Does this argument only apply to Rosales?

Have you seen any improvement in E-5 the last two weeks? Have you seen E-5 dog it running the bases?:ohbrother:

None of those questions apply to what I asked.

I'd have no problem with Rosales or Janish replacing Edwin or Gonzalex for a short period of time. Neither Rosales or Janish is the long-term answer. Neither is Gonzalex. Edwin may or may not be capable.

But when I brought up the possibility of Janish playing over Gonzalex, it was belittled because Janish didn't get through the minors quick enough & had already proven that he was not a capable MLB hitter throughout his minor league career.

THAT was my point.

A little late, but it was still a good post BBguy. No reason to delete.
