April 27, 200917 yr Author Are you kidding, we get Oswalt again tomorrow. I'm more worried about Rodriquez on Tuesday.
April 27, 200917 yr It's absolutely laughable that you want to get rid of Edwin, but want to keep Gonzo as the SS. Thanks, I needed a good laugh today. Got someone worthy of replacing him? Didn't think so.

The Reds have a viable replacement for Encarnacion at 3rd base. Until you can come up with one for Gonzo, he's still the Reds best option.
April 27, 200917 yr ^ I just noticed that as well, we have been on the same page a little to much lately.
April 27, 200917 yr Rosales wasn't in Louisville's lineup today. :sssh: I know that Rosales has been ridiculously hot in Louisville but, looking over his minor league stats what has he done that makes anyone believe he will be a long term answer at third base? He had some pretty good numbers in split between 2 levels but nothing about his AAA totals jumps out at me to make it look like he'll come in and be a big producer in the Majors. Plus he made 10 errors in only 66 games last season.
April 27, 200917 yr Got someone worthy of replacing him? Didn't think so. Janish can do every bit as good as what Gonzo can.

April 27, 200917 yr Janish can do every bit as good as what Gonzo can. That's just not true, Janish is nothing more than a spot player. The fact is the Reds shortstop situation is just awful and unless they make a trade it isn't going to get any better.

He's not the long term answer, but I believe he's someone that might be able to awake Encarnacion out of his funk. The Reds long term answer at 3rd is Juan Franciso, and he's at AA. He has gold glove potential, and can swing the bat. He's gotten off to a bit of a slow start at Carolina, but he is the Reds long term answer at 3rd.

The fact is the Reds shortstop situation is just awful and unless they make a trade it isn't going to get any better. Gonzo is a career .247 hitter. I am very confident in saying that Janish can hit between .230-.240 if he plays every day.
April 27, 200917 yr Author Because LRCW said so, duh.... You really need to brush up on your homework.

Yes, I'm very confident that Rosales can be an improvement on what Encarnacion is offering right now. Encarnacion needs a wake up call.
