This group could always score with anyone. They locked it down on D without Ginyard, which I said all season would be the key to them winning a title. Congrats man. Enjoy...

If they had someone like Ginyard I'd agree with you. There isn't a guy on this UNC team that can lock someone down...

^I'm not sure if that makes you right on this one?

They did it as a unit, which is what had to be done without the one lock down guy. My problem with them for a large chunk of the regular season was they were simply relying on outscoring everyone, and they would have lost somewhere in the tournament with that mindset...

UNC will roll by about 20+...

UConn was the only team in the final four that had a chance to make this interesting and they didn't show up yesterday.

No way Izzo loses by 20 in this game...8 or less. If MSU can win this game it will be the 3rd #1 seed they would have beaten . Go Spartans.

Looks like you were partially correct. :sssh:

As a lifetime ACC basketball fan (favorite teams are Maryland, UNC and Duke), I was happy the way the tourney played out.

Once Lawson got back to full speed, that was all she wrote.

Love or Hate Hansbrough, you gotta respect him right???

No sir:p. I'm so glad he is gone though, I dont think I could take another year of watching everyone breath on him and get a foul called. And yeah congrats to UNC :puke:.

Absolutely. The way he has played night in and night out with intensity that is second to none, you have to have respect for him, and although I'm not a UNC fan (at all may I add), I am happy for Hansbrough for winning that NC.

I agree. I think UConn was the only team with a chance of knocking them off. I don't think they would have though...just that they had a chance.

Thank you very much GT...:thumb:

Right on man!!!! This has been a great year!!!

It was an awesome NCAA basketball year!

I think I was one of the only UK fans wanting UNC to win... Ironic eh? But anyways, I loved watching Hansbrough in this game. My favorite part was when he went to the bench at the end and just bear hugged Roy. You can tell that was a moment that he'd always wanted. Great for him! :thumb:

As bugatti stated, Hansbrough can be over dramatic at times but I think it was well warranted at that time. The guy absolutely loves the game and loves to win. He's had one of the more decorated careers in NCAA history. The dude will be missed.

Yes...and now be gone with him.

Hansbrough was a little over dramatic for me and many others. With that said, I think you will find very few people that do not respect the kid or his game.

I agree with that.

You forgot the part about why both stay all four years: Their game doesn't translate well to the pros. In Hansbrough's case, there's not many spots in the NBA for 6-7 power forwards.

Well maybe they stay because of that, but maybe they aren't strapped for cash like many collegiate athletes. Hansbrough's father is a doctor and Tebow's parents run missionaries overseas. Both are financially set I would say. Neither will be Kevin Garnett or Tom Brady, but they will both find a spot on a professional roster because of their heart, determination, work ethic and leadership skills.

UNC's Ed Davis says he's returning

No a huge surprise but their was a little speculation that he he would pull the Marvin Williams and head to the draft but IMO, Marvin Williams was a much better player his Freshman year than Davis.

SWEET!!!

Before the tournament, I thought Ellington would be back. After the show he put on the last 3 weeks, I think he is gone.:notworthy:

That flowery talk about heart, determination, etc. is all fine and dandy, but it doesn't change the fact that a 6-7 Tyler Hansbrough doesn't have the ability to play the 2G or SF in the NBA. He is an undersized PF, bottom line, and will get eaten alive by PFs in the NBA who are 7-foot tall. I'll be shocked if he lasts past his first contract.

Tebow stands a better chance of sticking in the NFL because he's a pure athlete, and should be able to transition to a different position much easier. Not really many firm positional height requirements in the NFL. At least not as much as in the NBA.

I doubt his stock gets any higher. Now would be a good time to go.
