April 10, 200917 yr I don't know how we aren't connecting. Even President Bush said that the war in Iraq was part of the War on Terror. Each of our allies shouldn't feel pressured to fall into line behind our lead on that. So, I guess the "War on Terror" is best determined by each country. I don't know how we're not connecting either. You know yourself that Bush was slammed by many people for saying the war in Iraq was part of the War on Terror. I agree that they shouldn't be pressured into our lead in Iraq. But, again, there is no middle ground in the war on terror and while each country can determine whatever they want, I still believe they are either with us or against us in fighting it. That doesn't mean they have to send troops if we're going in somewhere. It does mean that they have to make a stand and let terrorists know they will not find safe haven in a particular country.

The president bowing implied subserviance IMVHO and our president should not act subserviant to any other head of state. Did the Saudi king bow to him? In Asian countries the custon is a mutual bow in much the same way we shake hands. I also believe (and I may be wrong about this) that normal signs of respect that Catholics display before the Pope (kneeling, kissing the ring, etc.) are not expected when the Pope meets head of state that are not Catholic. On a side note does anyone else now find it laughable that BHO and crew are now back peddling and saying he didn't boy that he bent to shake the hand of a shorter man? :ohbrother:
