Right now ther is 3 or 4 soph's who will some playing time.

2 of the 4 are recievers who are replacing Robinson, but this could change when Martin

becomes more comforable with the defense.

Its my understanding that he is now on the offensive side of the ball in the backfield. I'd expect him to get some carries.

I don't know where Leo has been playing at CCH but he was a pretty good running back in his Spartan days.

CovCath Internet Radio is online! Saw the Blue/White on Friday and came away impressed with QB Erpenbeck's foot speed. The passing game is coming along. Slabaugh the running back is elusive. Michael Robinson showing great leadership around the team. It's going to be a hard year for Michael to watch each week, but him being around is going to pay big dividends for his teammates. He was also voted a team captain. Don't judge this team week one because they are going to improve each week. It's going to take some time for the boys to latch on to this new system, but I'm confident they will.

Does CovCath have their starters penciled in yet? With Micheal Robinson out, who will be their go to guy in the receiver area? Talked with Micheal this past weekend and he seems to be in very good spirits considering!

 

How about Leo Schaefer? Is he going to run the ball or be on Defense or both? According to his Mom, CovCath seems to be putting in the time and effort it takes to become a winner again. WOW! Seems like some really long days of serious prep going on in Park Hills.

A new staff who is not familiar with any/many of these players leads me to believe that the starters in game one will not be the same 22 as in game 10.

Well, they have one Coach on staff that I'm pretty sure hasn't missed a football game in a lot of years. I'm sure he knows who is good and who is not. So any ideas on starters in week one?

I have heard that Mark Wehry will be missing his first CovCath Football game (broadcast) to help his daughter (NDA valedictorian Annie) move to some small Catholic University in Northern Indiana with the initials ND. I have also heard that Mark's spot will be taken for this game (@ Ryle Aug 21) by Radio/TV and sports journalist Richard Skinner.

Hey Old Guy. Good to hear from you. Thanks for the plug. Yes, what you've heard is true, and I'll be missing my first football game since our first broadcast in 2005. Good reason though huh? There's a good chance we'll broadcast something. Possibly get some interviews afterward. Thank goodness for CovCath. I don't know what I'd do being an empty nester! You can give me some tips Old Guy.
