On a lighter note maybe my good buddy Jim Hurst could pull a Dick Vermeil and come out of retirement.

We've already asked! He is quite comfortable in his current semi-retirement. It is well earned. He is one of my favorite people!

Does Trimble have a date set to announce a hiring?

When the coach has been announced to the players, I will post it on here within the hour. Until then, what has already been stated is all that you are going to get.

Players deserve to know first. Just reading the article that was attached, it seemed like they could have hired somebody this week. Wonder who will hire somebody first. Harrison, South Laurel or Trimble?:idunno:

Harrison

Odds in their favor based on a post under their thread. Trees, you heard who is going to get Harrison/Trimble? You seem to have an in on a lot of info.

I'll have to disagree with the lack of adminstrative support. That may have existed more in the past, but I am encouraged with the new principal and assistant principal.

The job just be posted 30 days from Coach Chism's resignation before a new hire can be made. That means the earliest day for that would be April 29th.

Many applications have been received and a few that were not interviewed last time will be interviewed this time.

So will an announcement be made on April 29th? That might have Trimble winning the race on hiring first, ahead of Harrison and South Laurel.

I have no idea.

I guess that we'll see if I have posted a new thread on April 29th. Or any other day for that matter.

I dont care who or when they hire somebody. Only that if I was a player, parent or Trimble football fan, I would want a timeline as to when to expect a new coach. The same for South Laurel and Harrison.

I decided to bow out of this very gracefully, until.....now, it is a crying shame the way that things happen, but it is not for any of us to speculate as to why Chism left or who TC will replace him with I had voted heavily for the last hire based on local info and past success and what I thought would be a great fit for TC blew up quickly ,,,, What a shame. I do hope though that TC hires someone soon for the sake of the entire TC football faithful Players, Parents, Alums and all, good luck and hope to hear good news soon. I do hope that they will hire someone who is in touch with todays youth not yesteryears kids, we've all grown up and become parents or Grandparents of these boys.

The job was actually posted on April 1st, so the 30 days is up May 1st. There are hopes as to when a new coach can be named, but many don't understand all of the implications involved with teacher certifications and other things that go into hiring coaches. The best thing that those that care about the program can do is to put their faith and support in the committee and principal and encourage any athletes to continue to attend weightlifting.
