I'll have to disagree with the lack of adminstrative support. That may have existed more in the past, but I am encouraged with the new principal and assistant principal.

The job just be posted 30 days from Coach Chism's resignation before a new hire can be made. That means the earliest day for that would be April 29th.

Many applications have been received and a few that were not interviewed last time will be interviewed this time.

Anything new on this opening? Or are they just going to go coachless this season. School might be out before they get somebody hired!

See my post above. You might want to be familiar with the situation before making innuendo.

What is the situation??

Of course I think they will have somebody hired before school is out. I am sure the administration is working hard to get a coach. Hopefully sooner then later.

What is the situation??

Coach Poynter resigned in early January to take Bourbon Co's head coaching position. Kirk Chism was hired in early March to take over the position. Chism resigned on March 30th (I cannot go into more detail, for legal purposes) effective immediately from both teaching and coaching. The 30 day hiring window will be up on April 29th. The interview committee is interviewing additional candidates. I would expect a decision to be made and announced very soon after the 30 day window is up.

In the mean time, volunteers teachers and assistant coaches are keeping the weightlifting program going and have been since before Chism was hired.

So are interviews starting soon? Looks like they are going to get something done by the end of the month. That would leave Harrison and South Laurel as the last 2 left.

Do they have any teaching positions open other than the History position?

History is a good position to have open. It seems like a lot of coaches teach history.

Is Clinton Co. open as well?

Interviews have begun. Things are looking very good.

When will they conclude?

Any ideas who they are interviewing?
