Tough but I didn't see anything unfair. Simple question: Has UK looked into items that COULD be issues?

What's the problem?

I don't like Mark Story.

I haven't read this particular article yet though.

Wow. Mark Story is trying to get Calipari fired before he even gets hired. Seriously though, does he have nothing better to do than to bash Kentucky coaches (or hopefully soon-to-be)? Hes called for Rich Brooks' head a bunch of times. Hes called for Tubby Smith's head a bunch of times. And hes called for Gillispie's head a bunch of times.

When people look at UK having unreasonable fans look no further than Mark Story.

Gotta agree with you, Clyde.

(What's this world coming to??! :D)

He's not being a cheerleader for UK, which seems to be what most UK fans think the Herald-Leader's role should be.

I read that John Clay had said on a radio interview that the UK administration had checked with the NCAA about Calipari and WWW and the NCAA gave him a clean state and had no issues with the hire.

Did Story write anything that wasn't true? He raises some questions that some UK fans have been raising about Calipari on this board, possibly by some of the same posters that are now embracing his apparent hire.

Here's an "open letter" to UK fans ... the Lexington Herald-Leader is not your enemy, nor is it the enemy of the UK basketball program. Mark Story, John Clay and Jerry Tipton don't have the destruction of the Wildcats in mind when they're writing stories about what's going in within and around the team and program.

They are simply doing their job.

I sometimes thinks it's too easy to shoot the messenger rather than the message or the questions.

Maybe should have mentioned this to his cohort. Story is a no talent pot stirrer. He was wrong about Brooks and he basically abused and ridiculed him at every turn for 3 years. I remember him refering to Brooks and Barnhart as "the Oregan Boys".

By the way the last guy that was "just doing his job" has publically apologized for chasing BCG through the hallways of the Craft Center.

You take up for these guy's every time.

Wonder why?

Good sense, I suppose ...
