Michigan St 64 Louisville 52

Featured Replies

Louisville was ice cold shooting, their freshman underneath got abused, and Msu could have farted the ball and it would have gone through the cylinder. Just not a good day for Louisville. I am sad, I really thought we had a title-caliber team.

Did this game remind anyone of the Kentucky/North Carolina regional final in 1995? Tar Heels handled a very talented Wildcats team, 74-61. Offense was non-existent in that game for UK, and defense was also suspect. That all reminded me of Louisville today.

Of course Pitino and that UK team went to work harder than ever that offseason and won it all the next year. Could the same happen with Louisville?

Williams, Clark, Smith, and McGee are gone... I'd be shocked to see them back in the Elite 8 next year.

Jerry Smith is a junior.

Great Season for The Ville...I for one UK fan was pulling for the Cards to win it all...True Cards fans be proud of your team...They had a great season...:thumb:

That next UK team was more talented than the next UL team is expected to be, but you never know....

Michigan State really controlled the tempo of this game, they did not turn the ball over and when U of L can't cause turnovers with their press, they turn into a sub-par team.

I guess the bar for "par" is pretty high then.

Great year for UL. Not sure how to look back at this tourney for them, didn't look great first 2 rounds, put a whoopin' on Zona, then ran into a talented team with great coaching today. Elite 8 is not a bad year.

I guess thats what happens when you pose and dance during a game. Congrats Michigan St.!

I didnt see Sosa or Williams posing for the camara today.:sssh:

Man...You had to bring that one up...

The only thing I remember about that game is Gimel Martinez and Rasheed Wallace getting ready to throw down...:thumb:

This was the year for Louisville, and as of about thirty minutes ago they just handed away a national championship. Big let down game IMO.

Hats off to a great season and on winning the Big East but once the NCAA's finish those type of accomplishments don't look and feel as important.

Mich St. just dominated the second half and if you would have told me they done so compared to how many minutes Lucas played down the stretch then I would have told you to get out of here. Everyone for Mich St. stepped up big and I really like everything that Morgan brought to this game. Yet again Izzo is in the Final Four, doing it his way and with his players, the guy can coach.

I believe it was Andre Riddick, wasn't it?

Had nothing to do with winning or losing. Today the Cards got beat by a better team. The pose and dance is kids having fun. When teams have fun together they usally win a bunch of games.

No fun today then?:dancingpa

Great year for Lville. I felt like they were the most overrated team in the tourny though. If you look at it they didn't have to play at Pitt, didn't play at UConn (got waxed at home), played Morehead close a half, Siena close, Arz (who many thought shouldn't be in) and Mich St probably the worst team left in it. I thought they would be Mich St close in a slugfest but get beat bad next week. I was a week off.

Great year for the Cards up until now. Morehead, Western and UofL represented the state well this year.
