I do not like Louisville at all but they had a great season and made a great run. Winning the Big East is nothing to sneeze at. Congrats on a great season Louisville fans, UK fans can only dream of the Elite 8, I know, I'm one of them!

I do think this was their year though, I do not agree that they have Elite 8 talent next season.

UofL had a great season, but this was their chance IMO.

Next year's team will still be talented, but no where near the level of this one. You can't just replace guys like Clark and TWill.

I guess the bar for "par" is pretty high then.

No, it's not very high actually, as we all saw today, it's been awhile since a team has handled their press as good as Michigan State did today, and we all saw what kind of team the Cards turned into.:thumb:

I believe it was Andre Riddick, wasn't it?

Could have been but seems like Jimmy had a run in with somebody...

I know for sure it is the first time I seen that weired bald spot on Rasheed Wallace's head...

Jerry Smith is a junior.

And is an extremely average player, IMO.

I agree, there are average players, difference makers, and below average players. 60/20/20

Jerry had a very, very poor game today but he is a Pitino-chosen starter at guard on a team that won the Big East, made it to the Elite Eight, and that has four guards who could start. He shoots the 3 pretty well, is a good press defender, can handle the ball, and even drive the lane from time to time.

He ain't T-Will but I'd say his record makes him anything but average.

That's what makes college basketball great...:thumb:

Gimel had a run in with Robert Horry on a couple of occasions. Martinez was gone after the '94 season.

The fight was between Wallace and Riddick and one grabbed the other by the throat.

I had high hopes of the Cardinals cutting down the nets in Detroit, but Michigan St. was the better team today. As somebody already mentioned, Izzo is tough on Kentucky teams in the Elite Eight.

Yea...Your exactly right...:thumb:

That was against Bama...Now I remember my dislike for Horry...:D
