March 29, 200917 yr I had high hopes of the Cardinals cutting down the nets in Detroit, but Michigan St. was the better team today. As somebody already mentioned, Izzo is tough on Kentucky teams in the Elite Eight. After watching this game today I would love to see Izzo at Ky...But I don't see it happening...:thumb:

March 29, 200917 yr That was the game when UNC was having trouble staying with McCarthy. Wallace and Riddick got into it, Riddick choked Wallace and Walter got the "T" somehow away from it all and had to sit due to his 2nd foul and UK never got back into the swing of the game.
March 29, 200917 yr It was UL year to get it done with the load of talent they had. For the UK fans on here that believe the Cards don't have elite 8 talent again next season then I say sit back and watch what the Our Coaching staff continue to develope this program into one of the best.

March 29, 200917 yr I am a UK fan that was pulling for U of L. With that said, If this would have been UK who had all the tallent and was in the same situation, I would be very disappointed with the performance. In the second half I didn't think that Louisville played with much heart and desire. MSU got every 50-50 ball and was playing with much more passion. I also think that Pitino got schooled. He was coaching like a coach with pressure, pulling kids for small mistakes and there was an obvious rift between Pitino and Sosa. Izzo was really into the game and made some great adjustments down the stretch. U of L may be back there next year, but they were most tallented team in the country this year and choked.
March 29, 200917 yr Louisville finally played a good team and got whipped. Scored over 100 Friday and barely 50 on Sunday.
