March 27, 200917 yr Isn't that a big reason he left? Felt he was going to rushed back? Or am I dreaming that up on my own? :idunno: Pretty sure that would of been the case.
March 27, 200917 yr Isn't that a big reason he left? Felt he was going to rushed back? Or am I dreaming that up on my own? :idunno: Yeah because he wanted to spend the whole season rehabbing this year because it never got better because he played on it. Which shows that he shouldn't have been playing at all last year. If he spent last season rehabbing the whole time, that means he probably would have been ready for this season.

Or am I dreaming that up on my own? :idunno: I think what they are trying to say is the Tubby would not have rushed him back and worked him so hard in his sophomore season and more than likely would have red-shirted him and he would have been a starter this year. Unlike BCG who did rush him back and push him to hard. Could be wrong, but that is what I am getting from this.

March 27, 200917 yr Personally I don't think we should have hired Tubby to begin with. If UK had hired Donovan back then we would have won 2 national championship and had a runner up finish.

March 27, 200917 yr Dang...I wish your name was Marty Mcfly...Back to the future here we come... I agree come to think of it UK should have hired Bill Self instead of Tubby.

March 27, 200917 yr Maybe you should be the coach, How about that? I'm not interested due to fans who can't let go of Tubby. However, I would have made as many final fours since 1999 as Orlando "Tubby" Smith. Only differnce is I don't have a son that I could have force feed to you as the point guard and then latter as assistant coach.

Especially when you consider the current UK team probably wins 25-26 games with him at PG, and run away with the SEC title.
March 27, 200917 yr I don't think the fan base "ran Tubby off". Barnlark asked him to change some things and he refused and left. I think his X's and O's are some of the best in the nation, but he let the program slip because he did not continue to bring marquee players to Kentucky. He is partially to fault for the current state of affairs as is BCG and AD Barnlark.
