March 27, 200917 yr I've always found the animosity for Saul puzzling. Especially when you consider the current UK team probably wins 25-26 games with him at PG, and run away with the SEC title. You must be thinking of a different Saul...:lol:Only Joking I agree with you 1000%...:thumb:

March 27, 200917 yr Didnt Tubby leave for Minnasota or did I imagine that? Your post adds what, To this conversation?
March 27, 200917 yr I agree that Tubby should not have been let go either. He had the highest winning % in among college coaches during his tenure at UK-if I'm not mistaken-and for everyone that says we were on a decline here's something to chew on: Adolph Rupp coached for 41 years at Kentucky, he won 4 National Titles. That's a National Title every 10.25 years if my calculations are right.
March 27, 200917 yr So now Saul Smith is a great point guard. In 10 years some of you guys will be talking about how great a president George W. was.
March 27, 200917 yr So now Saul Smith is a great point guard. In 10 years some of you guys will be talking about how great a president George W. was. Not a Bush fan... But Saul could help this team win 25 games....
March 27, 200917 yr So now Saul Smith is a great point guard. In 10 years some of you guys will be talking about how great a president George W. was. Koun Dog, Michael Porter wouldn't start at Morehead State at Point Guard. Demonte Harper would be a definite step up from Porter. He makes me look like Devin Harris, so he'd make Saul Smith look like Chris Paul or Magic Johnson. And while you bring up the subject of Saul being "force fed" to us, who would you rather have started at Point during this time?

March 27, 200917 yr Your post adds what, To this conversation? The fact that Kentucky didnt run Tubby Smith off, he left on his own... You must have not read the title of the thread...

Nobody was going to sit behind Donna's son.

Also made six Final Fours in his final 30 years, which is one every five years. Tubby went made one Final Four in 10 years. :deadhorse:
