March 28, 200917 yr Saul's first year as point guard wasn't so good after that I didn't have much problem with him. Again Tubby left on his own. All he had to do was bring in some new assistants that didn't mind working hard and he would still be here if he wanted, and yes his poor recruiting towards the end is partly to blame for being where we are today.
March 28, 200917 yr I have said that since the day it happened. I love Tubby, and he did a lot for Kentucky basketball but people put him under to much heat and pressure, now he is a very loved man up in Minnesota.

Pigman, I agree with you.
March 28, 200917 yr Disagree UK was clearly on the decline with Tubby. He may have continued to give UK John Chaney like results with W's, but not many nets were coming down. Exactly. He won 80% of his games, that makes him a good coach, no doubt about that. I am no Tubby fan. But he wasn't getting any closer to cutting down any more Championship nets and thats the ultimate goal here. The job at UK isn't measured in SEC wins but NCAA Tournament wins, thats why I agree with getting rid of Tubby was the right decision.
