March 27, 200917 yr Unless something has changed in the last 20 minutes, yes, im sure. Like Billy D resigning.
March 27, 200917 yr Author Did he verbal to Bama or sign big difference? That im not sure of. I was just told he accepted the job.
March 27, 200917 yr That im not sure of. I was just told he accepted the job. That is a big deal for him and your firiend. Nice move. I hope he does an outstanding job there. Could he replace Donovan here if Donovan jumps to the league in 3-5 years? I know it's down the road, but?

I know it's down the road, but? I seriously doubt it. The only reason he had the definite in at Florida was his relationship with the AD (Foley). It is a big deal for him. No one knows who is going with him, at least not until tonight.
March 27, 200917 yr Lot of good players in Bama, a coach could do real good here. One thing on his contract he gets 4 football tickets and once a month he sits at the same table as Coach Saban in the schools cafeteria.

Realistically, outside of Kentucky, Alabama might historically be the second best program in the conference when it comes to talent and even winning. Of course Arkansas has had tons of success, but much of that came in the Southwest Conference. Florida has two national titles, but absolutely no history prior to about 1994. And you know well, Larry, that Alabama has the second most championships in conference history. Only Kentucky and LSU have been to the tournament more in conference history (Arkansas has been 12 times since they joined). Grant (or anyone) has a good chance to be really successful at Alabama.
March 27, 200917 yr Decade of the 80s Bama went to the Sweet 16 more than any school. We like basketball, but.....well y'all know.
