I haven't heard prep school mentioned. Though I do know he picked up another firm offer from Ball State and has another visit setup to the school next door.

And Zollo? The list of decommits is Euton, Avery, Vilarino, Ross-Miller, and Tucker.

 

Zollo, D. Ferguson, Hood and Orton are still coming as far as I know. But every other player has decommited. I know there is an article on Vilarino where Calipari called him. He told him that he liked bigger guards and pretty much said he wouldn't get to play much if he came here. I know that Vilarino really wanted to come to UK. But you can not expect Calipari to keep players he doesn't feel he can win with, when his job is on the line. So I don't blame him.

That's what I was thinking. Butler? IUPUI? I think those are the closest D-IA schools to Muncie.

Yes, Jenkins has an offer from Bellermine and know for sure its a school and program he was quoted as saying he likes and has a lot of respect for. He will visit UL's staff next week.

 

Ball State was the most recent offer and Miami of Ohio was on Manual's campus as well. That makes 3 schools in the MAC recruiting him.

Doesn't seem to be many DI players in state, look at the gap between Hood UK and Ballou Morehead St and looks to be another gap after that. And for next season don't see any Kentucky kids on the radar for Calipari.

I disagree. Vee Sanford is a D-1 player. He will sign at a major D-1 school. Richie Phares also had a lot of good offers from teams like Marshall, Duquense, SMU, etc. He would have probably gotten more if he hadn't committed to UL already.

 

As for next year the following will all be D-1 players IMO:

Ricardo Johnson

Ge'lawn Guyn

Josh Sewell

Elijah Pittman

Chad Jackson

Donovan Gibbs

Matt St. John

I disagree. Vee Sanford is a D-1 player. He will sign at a major D-1 school. Richie Phares also had a lot of good offers from teams like Marshall, Duquense, SMU, etc. He would have probably gotten more if he hadn't committed to UL already.

I think Johnson has the best chance to play for a major D1. Pittman also has a good chance at a big D1 if the other side of his equation is in order.

The others will have better chances at mid- to low-majors.

Euton couldn't start or Holmes much less D1.

What are you guys defining as a major D1?
