If an offer was made to Jackson I don't believe the offer still stands.

 

From everything I have heard is its factual information that Xavier has offered Jackson. I don't know if its still on the table or not, but at 1 time a scholarship offer was there.

I am not trying to knock Riley but does not compare to either Stowers. He is a good kid and a hard worker but whether he goes to a JUCO or not he is not going to be a D1 caliber player.

 

So far everyone has only talked about his offensive skills but the big question is who is he going to guard on the D1 level? Not big enough or strong enough to guard the 2 on the D1 level. He struggled guarding the PG's locally who were just as quick as he is and pretty much every PG at the D1 level is as big and just as quick or quicker.

 

There is a reason Riley was a one year starter. Henley is a good coach and I can't see him starting and playing Avery while he has a D1 caliber PG on the bench just because Avery was a senior.

 

I don't think Riley is D-1. But in two years who knows ? I think he can play at NKU. We can disagree.

I just looked it up and saw it on several Rivals sites that X has indeed offered Jackson, along with West Virginia as well.

 

Coaches leaving one program to another can alter the offer sheets too. From I'm told, coach Miller may be looking at the UK opening.

It's all about how those players help the TEAM and fit certain roles. Riley was better off the bench last year but during the region and state tournament saw extensive time at the 1 and 2 with Avery out.

 

Riley could easily play at NKU though. He is definetly good enough to play at the D2 level and could play at some of the NAIA D1 schools (Pikeville, Cumberland, Union). If Mike Hester was good enough to play at Union, Riley certainly is as well. Morehead wouldn't be recruiting him if they didn't think he was good enough to play at that level in the next 4 years.

 

I personally see Riley taking the JUCO route to work on flaws that several people mentioned, such as lack of strength and needing to work on defense. He will play right away at a JUCO which will allow him to improve and get better looks here in 2 years.

 

I think he proved against Scott Co and Elliott Co both that he is good enough to play against D1 caliber guards. He used his quickness to get by the Faulkner boy several times and also dropped 20 on Ge'Lawn Guyn who is probably one of the best defensive guards in the state. Considering Riley was the 3rd leading scorer this year for a team that was pretty loaded, I think some of you may be selling him short a little of his abilities.

Does anyone know if Charles Ashford and Montell Morones from Bryan Station have signed with anyone yet? Two excellent guards!!

All that tells me Mr. Tyndell is you must not have anyone to distribute the ball, Ferg is a bad man on the court boys and girls, but hey enjoy your mediocur play in the OVC and trips to the NCAA once every 25 years. I don't know the kid you are talking about, but I do know that once you get past the elite level, coaches look for character as much as anything. They do not want problems from the mid level athlete. They don't want it from the elites, so they assign people to them to help.

 

Smaller schools can find a replacement for a bad attitude without much problem. I think that is true in all sports.

Tyndell has oftered Travis Pervis of GRC a full ride. He is instate.

Hes offered Purvis and he signed Ballou. I disagree with a lot of coaches from time to time on who they recruit. But Tyndale has done a heck of a job at Morehead.

Any word on where Jenkins is going? I heard his injury this year may have affected where he may now go. Any possibility of Prep school?
