If they run with Elliott, they will lose. If they allow Elliott to shoot open 3's, they will lose.

Not so sure about the bolded part. I think Holmes is at their best when they are out and running and they have looked going doing so down at Rupp so far.

I agree with the other part tho. They can't let guys like Ferg just stand out there and shoot it without a hand in their face.

I want to preface what I write below by saying I have really enjoyed watching the Elliott Co. kids the past few years. Some may take my analytic and sometimes combative ways of communicating with the Elliott fans personally, and they shouldn't. These kids are great fun to watch.

Their athleticism isn't that overwhelming. If they get a dunk and celebrate, Elliott will be shooting a 3-pointer on the other end. I'll repeat, this Elliott team is very legit and if they are shooting well, Holmes will have their hands full tomorrow morning.

I like you, and respect you a lot, but I think you're being wildly optimistic.

Elliott Co. needs to seriously consider being extremely patient. They will need 21 to play even better than he did tonight (which was fantastic, and crucial in the win, most notably on defense). They will need to shoot the lights out and hope Holmes takes them lightly.

It's happened on this floor before, some 24 years ago. But I don't see it happening again, as E-Z Ed Pinckney and Harold Jensen have expired their eligibility.

Holmes should win by 10 or more. Lots more if Elliott tries to run with them. Ballard's press is child's play compared to what Holmes brings in quickness and length, and I figure that's about the best they've seen -- at least in this state, anyway.

I was not impressed with Elliott County, if the same Holmes team that played the first half plays the whole game tomorrow, it wont be close. Holmes by 15.

Then you haven't watched much high school basketball this year. Shelby Valley was a great team and they will challenge Holmes and Scott County for he state title next year. Elliott found a way to win with a much large Shelby Valley team. Dunks don't mean everything in the state tournament. The last I check 3 pointers were worth more than dunks anyways.

I don't want to be called an Elliott County basher or anything, but they didn't impress me much tonight at all. Maybe it wasn't there night I don't know. I will say this though, you can tell that this team has been playing together a long time. They are molded together very well and play great team ball. I do think they rely on the 3-point shot to much and that might hurt them in the end. Everyone knows the saying, "You live by the 3 and you die by the 4".

I think Elliott should play their style of play (uptempo). Its too late now to try and play a different style that their not used to. That would hurt them big time no matter who they play, because thats not Lion basketball. If they slow it down and grind it out I don't know how they can possibly win. They have big mismatch problems. It will take Elliott's best game of the season to win tomorrow morning. They have everything going against them, but they have alot of supporters rooting for them and backing them so who knows.

Holmes is a tremendus team. They should not take Elliott lightly at any circumstance. When they commited all those turnovers in the third, Lex Cath couldn't capitalize or this could have been a totally different out come. If Elliott gets those opportunities that Lex Cath got, they will convert. Holmes did have some careless turnovers and showed they are vulnerable against a good press. So there not as perfect as some on here say. They need to take care off the ball and take advantage of their size and bang inside against Elliott. Holmes can run but can they run with Elliott? I don't know.

Good luck to both teams tomorrow morning! I do believe who ever wins will bring home the state championship. I am a Holmes supporter so i have to go with the Bulldogs in a tough win! If Elliott wins, I will be rooting for them in the finals, they truely are the cinderalla team in the tournament. Good Luck!

I want Holmes to win, and I believe they'll do it. They're too much to handle especially if they continue to play the way they have down there at Rupp.

If EC does pull this out, I'll have no problem with it and I'll root for them to take it all in the end. I like the team, and it seems like they have a great group of boys and I hate to see their season come to an end.

Holmes is tough. Holmes is tho most athletic team that I have seen that actually runs an offense consistently. They are disciplined and fundamentally sound. I really like this team better than any team that has this much athleticism.

Holmes is to quick and the reason that they will win this game is because they have a very good bench. When you have 4 players in yesterdays game for Holmes that almost had dbl dbls it going to be hard to match up with. I think that Pittman needed 1 more board to have his. But The fact is Holmes is one of the best teams that i have seen in a long time. I think they have a great shot at comin back to the pound with one. And Im not playing when I say that the will be back next year to. But for now lets worry about tonight. Holmes by 7

Holmes throwing in a clunker of a 3rd quarter (Lex Cath) seems to happen often and still end up with the "W". Holmes is also very good at defending the 3 when required. I see the Dawgs putting an end to the spectacular run that Elliott County has had this season. Holmes wins the Tourney, Ricardo gets the MVP.

Go Dawgs!!!!

I like you too Jim, but Holmes is in for a real surprise if they try to run and gun with Elliott County. Just my opinion.

1. Holmes will not shoot like they did against Lex Cath the first half.

2. Elliot will not slow the pace down, if anything, they will speed it up.

3. Holmes is certainly the favorite on paper and look like they are too big and strong, but if anyone shows "fatigue" it will be Holmes. Elliot doesn't get tired until their 4th game of the day, this is below normal their normal workout schedule lol.

4. Ferg has to score over 20 and T Knipp has to have a double/double for Elliot to win.

5. Pittman will get a T

6. The game will be very entertaining

7. This game will remind you of a Rocky movie

8. When was the last time Rocky got beat?

No matter what happens, this Elliot team will be remembered for a long time.

Thanks for the memories boys

Last night was the first time I've seen either team play. If you judge by last night alone, Holmes will win big. But I also know that that was the worst game I've ever seen Lex Cath play, and I've seen them play a lot. Also, although I wasn't overly impressed with Elliott Co. last night, I've heard too much about them and there must me more game in them than they showed. Should be a great game, and I won't be suprised to hear the outcome no matter who ends up on top.

I agree with you on all points. I'll add that I am in total agreement that Elliott will probably pick the pace up even more. The way Holmes looked handling the ball in transition probably has the Elliott guards licking their chops.

Holmes will win this game by 12 and go on and win tonight to win the State Championship. They are playing very well right now at the right time and beat Lex Cath pretty handidly. Show NKY proud Bulldogs and beat EC. GO BULLDOGS!!!
