Central's band and pep section

Featured Replies

WOW... I absolutely LOVED Central's dance/cheer/band section. It made me want to leave the good seats and go sit with them.

They would not have let me stay though. I don't have the moves.

They were in sync.. that's for sure. Good Job!

I've never seen a better high school band than Centrals. They were incredible when we visited their stadium on 2007.

Very entertaining for the second year in a row!!

Central is on its way to becoming a premier athletic school here in Louisville and the enthusiasm that community has for their teams is outstanding!

They won the KHSAA Pep/Spirit/Sportsmanship award tonight as well they should have.

Non-stop action, synchronized dance moves, and big, bright, smiles at every game. They had me worn out just watching them.

KUDOS!!!!

When I was in high school and college from 1969-1976 Central was VERY PREMIER. They won two state championships, and star players Ron King and Otto Petty went on to star on a Florida State team that derailed UK's NCAA title hopes in the early '70's. It's nice to see them back in the limelight.

I just wish their local fan support had been a lot better. These kids deserved better numbers than they had in the stands. I mean, my goodness, this was a state championship game!!!

Off. The. Hook.

I'll have the funky drummer rolling through my head the rest of the week. Not necessarily a bad thing. I'm still dancing along ...

Would take Central's pep section and band over the (Duke wannabes) of Covington Catholic anyday.

This group did remind me of them. I remember those days too.:thumb:

The school and its community have recently seen a resurgence, I think it may well be like that again but they are on their way.

We're complimenting a group and you have to take a shot? Unbecoming.

The lost art of a good strong high school band at basketball games has taken away from the atmosphere. Growing up in the 70s, the bands were part of the festivities and had the gym rocking. Unfortunately, we don't see that much anymore.

Hats off to the fine kids of Central.

This is one the best dance teams that I have seen @ any level. The band & fans are awesome.
