Home field advantage only occurs if the boys take care of business. Dixie is going to be very good this year with a lot of returning talent in the senior class and some very talented sophomores and juniors to help out. And I may be one of the few people that think CovCath is going to be much, much better than last year and will challenge the Birds. The new coach will have the kids believing again, which as you know is the most important part of playing good football. On O, they return 3 very good starters on the O line; a very good running back (Degelow) who in my opinion was under utilized last year; and a very good receiver (Robinson). If they fill the qb spot with some one who has a strong arm and decent mobility and find another go to receiver (Bo Geisen out of the tight end spot or Joey Keene at another wide receiver spot?), they will have an O that will put up a lot of points. On D, they return a lot of starters from a D that admittedly gave up a lot of points, but played a lot of sophomores and juniors. I expect Wirth's new defensive coaches to turn that returning experience into a solid D.

I heard that the St X gets all the gate at Highlands this year. I hope that Dale didn't have to give up the gate to get X to play.

Boy I hope thats not the case. Either way why would Dale tell anybody that he gave the home gate away especially when the Athletics are in desperate need of every penny they can get. Iam like LN, I try and keep my distance from those Ft. Thomas know it alls.

I'm the one who is confused. I thought I was asking Leatherneck.....His word is better than anybody I know. And no, he's is definately not blood. You would be surprised how much I don't listen to your source. I have heard the hunting/fishing stories. Yeah I know, the one that got away.
