WOW Rowan shoots only 16.7% from the floor and 6.2% from beyond the arch. From the look of the chart, they missed from everywhere and anywhere.

 

OUCH!!!!

 

 

Was the poor shooting because of tough D or was it just an off day?

 

And if their shots are not falling they cannot press!

Thanks oldguy for the chart. D may have been a factor in the paint but from where they shot the 3's I doubt it. Must have had blinders on.

Why am I not surprised!

Did Steve Dodd come to coach Rowan tonight? I thought I remembered Mr. Viking saying that the 16th was glad they drew the 9th. Perhaps he could rethink his position. Congratulations to Boone.

Nice win by Boone they could very well make a deep run.

 

They go down tomorrow to my alma mater the Elizabethtown Panthers!

Just got a text from someone at the games. He said D played a factor but it was mostly horrific shooting. We have seen it before in both boys and girls games. I guess you call it stage fright - choke , or what ever term you prefer. You just hate to see a team get there and not play at least their average game. Either way Boone was the best team today.

Second, Rowan held Boone to 39 points....39 points! You tell me a coach that wouldn't take that anyday???? Just so happened they couldn't throw the ball in the ocean while standing on the beach.

Also, love them or hate them, but calling Boone County an inferior program is factually inaccurate. If it's a reference to some other unnamed school supported by KNOWITALL, it's still an inappropriate comment, particularly in this thread/forum.

Whatever...it's not aimed at Boone County, who is obviously the victor and not an inferior program...it's aimed at the few in the 16th Region that doesn't like Rowan's aggressive style of Dfenz. They've been doing it for years and some can't keep from howling about it over and over and over and over.
