Because that's what he knows best.I would think with his background that's what he feels the most comfortable with.Another reason is the last coordinator said he wanted to do alot of that stuff last year.Whatever they do, I wish them the best.

The biggest thing Lincoln has to do to improve is get the numbers up. They only dressed around 30 kids last year. That is not good for a 5a program, that has a pretty rich football history. Last year the team couldn't afford any injuries. Unfortunatley they had a lot of them, without a lot of depth. A lot of young kids got to play because of it, hopefully it will pay off.

 

I am very excited about the staff Coach Settles has assemebled and feel like he will get the program rolling.

No doubt. I think the numbers are already up (not to where they need to be, but up none-the-less). Coach Settles and his staff will have the program back to the glory years in no time.

Why has Darren Yaden ben replaced as O coordinator.

He resigned right before weights started. He told Coach Settles that he felt like with coaching he was spending too much time away from his wife and kids.

Yaden last coached at Lincoln County in 2001, so he had been away from it for 6 seasons....about enough time to become nostalgic about the good parts of coaching and forget about the bad.

 

He is the Principal at Highland Elementary School and those duties, combined with football, left no time for his family. I think he would rather coach his son's youth team. Can't say that I blame him for that.
