The play book is huge and it's not 32 blast plays anymore this is pro plays.

No, but 2009 will only got 4 or 5 seniors , new OC and new QB.

In 2010 we will have about 13 seniors.

I hate to hear that for any team. Pro plays with 14-17 year old kids? Something will have to give.

 

Less is more. Now, if you have the luxuries of a St. X, Trinity, LexCath, etc. then you can do a lot more, but the only reason that they do more is because their kids only practice/play on one side of the ball. That's a big factor.

 

Even with those luxuries, those guys follow the KISS method (Keep It Simple-Stupid), have a handfull or two of things they do well and roll with it.

 

Good luck to Lincoln County this year. I hope to see Settles get them back on track from last year.

I think we are rooting for the same team here so please take this the right way, but the kids need to be focusing on 2009, not 2010. Even with a low turn-out of Seniors a strong Junior class can help overcome a lot of adversity. I am looking forward to this season.

You are right, I may have spoke too soon on that one. From what I was told by several people at the scrimage Tanner Edgington looked like the better QB of the two that day. That is just one day of course. I hope whoever gets under center next year for the Patriots has a great season... Be it Hinds, Edgington, or Owens. I am only interested in winning.

Last year's OC is a close, life-long friend of mine. Your comment is off-base and factually inaccurate.

 

The defense gave up a school record worst 40 points for one season. I don't see how that could be the OC's fault.

 

I hope you are right about 9-1 or 8-2 but your disparaging comments about former coaches won't help any at all.

The biggest problem with the offense last year was injuries. It had nothing to do with play calling, actually the creative play calling actually made a few of the games more competitive (for a half) than they should've been. Last year the team was way too thin, and had too many injuries.
