By the way, the Red-White Spring game will be held Saturday afternoon (4/4/09) at Death Valley at 4 PM.

 

There will be an alumni flag football game immediately following the intra-squad scrimmage with all Lincoln County football alumni invited to attend.

 

WPBK will be there live with play-by-play from the scrimmage and interviews with the alumni on hand.

How many kids are gonna be playing in the scrimmage? I'm sure they are missing quite a few who play other spring sports, who probably won't start football until those sports are finished. I just hope the numbers are way up this year.

The alumni are having a flag football game at 5:00 PM Saturday. All those interested in playing should be there by 4:30 on 4/4/09.

 

At 6:15 PM, or so, the Lincoln County High School varsity will have an intra-squad (Red/White) scrimmage to conclude spring practice. All fans are encouraged to attend. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TIME I POSTED ABOVE IN POST #31, A FEW DAYS AGO, IS WRONG.

 

The scrimmage, as well as highlights and interviews from the alumni game, will be broadcast live on WPBK-FM 102.9.

What a great event for Lincoln County. The alumni scrimmage was very entertaining and the Red/White game was a lot of fun too. LC looked to have some pretty talented youngsters, hopefully they will mesh together and have a successful season.

1. Vanilla offense- No Mumme Air Raid and I don't expect to see it.

2. Good skill players- Austin Hines, Tanner Edgington, Matt Carrier, Tyler Miller, Justin Wilkerson, Brandon Graham, Deion Shannon, Julian Calhoun among others.

3. Thin Roster- However, Coach Settles has 20 freshman coming up.

4. Alumni game- Former Patriots don't get old, they get lame.....literally.

5. Spring football- I like it. A lot!

Lets worry about the here and now. Highlands doesn't need to be mentioned right now. Lets get some wins first and have a good season before we start this.

Just saying we could go that far in 2010. That's what the kids are working so hard for.

We do need some kids that can catch the ball.

We have some kids that say that are going to play?? most are in spring sports. But some of them are not use to being made to work as hard as the football coaches will make them work. I hope thay can step up.
