ACHS Baseball Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Adair is playing there best ball of the year. They have a chance to make in to the final four before they have to pull any major upsets. I look for AC to have some success in the tournement.
Big Game Player Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 No clue about this game. Are there some players in this game that I should be watching for while I am down at the Sweet 16?
5thIndian Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 For Adair County Darren Ballou will be one of the best players in the tournment and has signed to play at Morehead St. But also watch the point guard Nick Fudge, coach's son.
JokersWild24 Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 I'll go with the experience factor and take Adair County.
imsosilly Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Adair County will win this game, but both teams are fundamentally sound and it will go down to the 4th quarter before being decided.
Jim Schue Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Not much is known about Grayson Co. -- and I don't know much about them either. But I think it's fair to note they beat Bardstown by 10 late in the year. Adair needed OT to put Bardstown away. Grayson has some size, from what I'm told. That said, Adair is playing extremely well, and confidently. They've been shooting the lights out, and controlling tempo. I think that continues into Saturday morning, and I could see them pulling a SF upset as well.
coachescorner Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Grayson will give Adair fits with their dribble penetration and kicking out to shooters. They have as many shooters as Adair. This game will come down to Grayson's ability to contain Ballou. If they can keep him from dominating the game, I think Grayson wins rather handily. This game also could end up being somewhere in the neighborhood of 35-32 or 42-38. Both teams love to run sets. Very good first round match-up and after seeing both teams several times I give Grayson the nod. I'll take the Cougars by 7.

Yes Grayson beat Bardstown by 10 but lost to John Hardin 60-52 and Adair beat both of them. Bardstown is a very good team. So this should be a good game but i will take the Indians in this one.
