We are very proud of the Scott Eagles, the coaching staff and Coach Carr. A good Season, a Great Coach and a hard fight tonight.

This game was a offensive struggle! GRC didnt shoot up to there normal potential tonight and that was in part to good perimeter D by Scott. Glad to see the cards in the finals.

I thought Scott was going to pull it off, but too many mistakes and GRC capitalized on them. Kellen Smith of Scott was very impressive tonight as well as Nikola. I thought these two young men carried Scott most of time tonight. Congrats to Coach Carr and the Eagle players on an outstanding season.

 

Robbie Stenzel was a pleasure to watch tonight. This kid has really turned into a darn good player that can do everything well. He might have a good chance at Mr. Basketball his senior year. Congrats to Coach H and the GRC players.

Good game to watch. Pretty good atmosphere tonight too. Biggest student sections I've seen all week.

 

I agree. I knew our kids would get there somehow.

 

1st time i've seen either teams.....

 

O'Conner got hurt at the end of the half and had to get stitches. He didn't return until late in the 3rd quarter. That didn't help but it wasn't the reason Scott lost. Scott just had too many turnovers and missed shots in the crucial part of the game.

 

Scott players I liked: Kellen Smith, Nikola Gligorevic, Keylo Jones

Clark players I liked: Robbie Stenzel, Vinny Zolo, Robert Hatton, Carlos Rogers

 

 

I hope the O"Conner kid will be OK. Hats off to the Scott players and the coaching staff. Very classy program.

 

Zollo had two fouls and had to sit most of the 2nd quarter. This is when Scott made thier run. Zollo got hurt in the third and sits out the rest of that quarter. Looks like a bad ankel sprain.

Robbie Stenzel helped pull us throught tonight. Great job Robbie. Hatton hit a crutial 3. Thought Daniels came in and did a good job tonight.

 

We have got to play better tomorrow night or it will be a long ride back to Winchester.

Kellen Smith and Keylo Jones will be back for Scott next year, but after that its unsure who will start and fill the shoes of the seniors. Scott will lose alot of depth this year.

 

Theres only spot up for grabs at Scott next year. Keylo, Kellen, O'Conner, and Neiderager will start.

Congrats Eagles on one heckuva season. 24 wins is the most i can remember in a long time. I know Sharps year they had 22. Congrats Seniors Kola, EJ, Stef, Wilson, and Oz you guys grew up a ton, going from winning 3 games your freshman year to winning 24 this year, winning District, and giving the 10th region a scare all year. This team was on your guys back and you carried it a long way just too bad it had to end tonight. Coach Carr is one heckuva coach and life teacher. Congrats coaches as you have earned respect statewide and changed a program around in 5 years. It was a fun year to watch and be apart of Scott basketball and i cant wait till October 15th. Work hard this summer and accomplish things boys you can do it as long as you listen to the General.

Depth though will be an issue though regardless.

Congrats to Scott and GRC. The refs let them play with very few calls made inside. Total of 3 fouls called in 2nd half with about 1:30 left to play. Stenzel was the difference for GRC throughout the game. Smith from Scott tried to do too much forcing shots versus looking to dump off the pass inside. Murray also had an off night going 0 for 10 from the floor. Smith ended up 6 for 17 from the floor and took some quick missed shots at the end that hurt. He is only a Soph so he will learn from this game. Scott shot 25% (6 for 24; 2 for 8 from 3pt line) from the floor in the 2nd half. Nikola should have been the go to guy every time down the stretch. Great year for Scott! Good luck to GRC tomorrow!

Congrats to Clark Co. they are really playing well as Mason Co. is playing very good also this should really be a good one.
