Scott will be very athletic next year with Niederegger and Jones and O'Conner should give them good length. Smith has established himself as one of the top players in the district. They had a very good PG at the JV level who should be able to provide some depth at the guard position in Cameron Haynes.

 

Scott loses a ton of senior leadership but returns a good core of players who got a lot of experience this season.

I applaud Coach Carr for putting Scott basketball on the map and competing at a high level. My only question is will they get over the hump and get past GRC in the coming years? GRC is loaded in the sophomore class.

Played through adversity the rest of the game. I loved the arena, but it is NOT a good place for 10th region tourney. It just doesn't allow for the fans to get into the game. It is a beautiful arena, though!

A lot of huge plays and shots at the end but I agree Robert's 3 was big big.

I agree the kids stepped up when we needed them the most.....got to love this team. :thumb:

Great way to finish by making the plays at the end, especially the threes by Zollo and Hatton. Stenzel had put the Cards in position to win and they all came through when it mattered.

Nikola ends his Scott career with a very strong performance. Kellen and Nikola carried the team in this last game with help from Keylo scoring 35 points between the three and the rest of the team only scoring 5 points ouch ( sounds like a UK game ) 3 starters score a combined 3 points that can't happen in a game of this magnitude.

 

The season is over and the Eagles must look forward to next year I believe athletic wise the Eagles will be stronger next year than this year. The Eagles have a great coach in place and must make sure he doesn't leave the Taylor Mill area for many years to come.

I agree with SHS EAGLE. Not many passes were made to the other 3 starters all night. Smith goes 6 for 17 and Murray goes 0 for 10. Can't have the two starting guards go 6 for 27 and expect to win. Definitely need to have all players get looks in the big games. Hopefully next year the guards have better consistent vision to get the ball to the open player and make the extra pass. Coach Carr needs to set tone for this type of playmaking because the Eagles will have the size advantage next year.

Would have to agree....Kellen Smith must be a selfish player to only lead N Ky in assists:ohbrother:. Maybe the 4-5 blown assists on point blank lay ups by those same starters might have contributed more to their going scoreless than the selfish play of the guards. Murray has been Scotts most consistent scorer all season.....the 0-10 night was not the result of selfishness...it was just a bad night.

Kellen Smith was the assist leader in NKY this year. Kellen had a good game along with Nikola and Keylo. I was referring to the other 2 starters scoring 0 points can't happen in a game of this magnitude and expect to win. People can say yeah it was a bad night which is fine but way to many missed lay-ups........ Eagles will be fine in 2010 and probably will be right back here again playing Clark in the Region but I hope with different results !!!!!!!!
