How about the continued decline of the American economy with no end in sight?

I wonder when the light bulb will finally go on for the people who believed BHO.

His true colors are coming out. He ran as a moderate, sold the American people that he was a moderate. But he IS as left wing of a liberal as Pelosi.

Timely question. Todays poll said a whooping 8% of the people think the economy is getting better !

Whats your rational on that? I can tell you for a fact, that when I have extra money that I reinvest into my business' and/or look for other opportunities to grow new ones.

I too am a business owner and you are 100% correct. Liberals and many others who have never run a business will never get it. Never..... ever......ever....

I believe it has for some.

The market/economy will not improve until the banking system is stable. This seems to be lost on Obama and his administration. Two simple steps that could help immediately and are free. Stop mark to market accounting and put the uptick rule in for short selling.

For those who thought that he would raise taxes on everyone look at the proposed elimination of the mortgage interest deduction.

Obama is on a crusade to change our country to something we will not recognize. He is using the economic mess to further his radical agenda.

God help the USA.

Why is this a suprise the man has never had a job in the private sector. He doesn't understand what it means to work.

I'm of the opinion that it takes more than a month an a half to determine if real change is going to occur. I personally believe that change IS occurring, and that the arguments to the effect that there isn't, are attempts to divert attention away from the changes.

I don't expect American Government to be overhauled in a month and a half. I also don't expect that EVERYTHING will be different.

It's not a surprise, it's an inevitability.:D

Interesting.

Can you please explain to me how it does not work? Proven ineffective? How was that?

Who does it help?

I'm not suggesting for 1 second that change won't occor. I think there will be major changes. Such as increased taxes, a redistrubtion of wealth, the elimination of the mortgage interest deduction, the partial elimination of charitable deductions, socialized medicine, increased government control in several industries including tobacco, and of course increased government funding for ACORN. The same ACORN that registered the Dallas Cowboys to vote in Colorado.

Now if that doesn't get you excited nothing will.

So you believe that the trickle down theory actually works. I thought that was proven ineffective 20 years ago.:deadhorse:

After the Reagan tax cuts we went on the longest run of economic growth in our history. It more or less lasted until this downturn. We hit a couple of bumps along the way, but always recovered. Recovered without massive government input. This downturn is no worse than when Cater left office. The unemployment is about the same, but we do not have double digit inflation or 21% interest rates at this time. If we reach those levels it will be caused by the stimulus package.

Who does it help?

Everyone.

As I pointed out in another thread, Koun Dog, you are spitting out lies about policy.

ACORN is getting no money out of the spending bill.

There is no elimination of the mortgage interest deduction for those who make under $250k. For those that do, its not a complete elimination but , rather, a reduction in the tax % (35 to 28 I believe). Same applies to the charitable deduction.
