Nicholas County principal arrested

Featured Replies

There is nothing in that video that will tell us a "different story" as the principal claims.

Poor decision by the principal that is going to cost him.

We don't really know the whole story, and maybe never will. What if the kid told the principal that he was going to shoot him? How would the principal know that he might actually have or not have a weapon in his pocket? I'm not saying that's what happened, but if something like that did it would simply be a case of the principal's word vs what the student said happened. In that scenario the principal would probably be back on the job soon.

Good for the principal. Who knows what the student was saying.

Innocent until proven guilty.... On the surface it does not look good!

In that situation, he should be detained until authorities arrive.

Exactly.

Exactly.

Looks like he was being detained.

Looks like he was being detained.

Picking a kid up and slamming him twice is not detaining. The principal has probably close to 100 pounds on the kid. You justify it all you want but what if this was your son? You wouldn't have a problem at all with a grown man picking him up and slamming him on the ground?

Where is the video of the incident?

Click on the link that I provided, there is a commercial before the video.

I thought of that but it seems to me that would have been reported on the news story. :idunno:

Doesn't look like it is going to be very good for the principal.

Unless there was something like The Professor mentioned then imo there is NO excuse for that action out of the principal.

I can't imagine a situation, unless the principal is in immediate danger or feels that there is an immediate threat, that this action is appropriate.

So do I.....

Me too.

I think what the Principal was very wrong and totally uncalled for but....I feel that every child no matter what the age is even if they are 18 and in school should NEVER NEVER disrespect a teacher, a principal, or any elder at that. And you need to know the rules as a student and follow them. I will leave it at that lol. B/c I could get way of topic b/c it angers me to see this.

When parents got corporal punishment banned from schools and started looking to the lawsuit lottery, that is when the inmates started running the asylum.

To anwers the question about what if it were my kid? No problems if the deserved it. If I have allowed them to talk back to adults and disrespect authority figures, then they would deserve it. Then get more of the same when they got home.

I guess the principal should have put him in timeout, that's all, any other punishment would be cruel. Congrats to the parents, thier hous will not fall into foreclosure!

Again, no personal responsibility on the kids part, and lets make sure we convict the Principal before he gets his day in court.
