Why the heck is Scott Co playing a team like this so late in the season? Tune up for the district?

 

Campbell County started the year 12-3. But in their last 10 games they are 3-7 and getting worse each game apparently. Don't blame Scott County for whatever happened to Campbell County. It Looked like a possible challenge until a couple of weeks ago.

This cant look good for Campbell County's run at the tenth. But I have to tip my hat to Scott County. A very impressive showing heading in to post season!

They had 2 points at the end of the 1st quarter and Chad Jackson threw down a nasty dunk that I think kind of stunned them for the rest of the game.

Definitely an impressive win for Scott County. I have been watching highlights of them online and they are playing great ball right now. Even though Holmes got them in December, they are the CLEAR favorite to cut down the nets.

Well said. I believe Brossart will get Campbell in the districts. Brossart has turned up the heat, but Campbell appears they want this to be over. Nice job to Scott County.

Holmes only beat Campbell by 12 over the weekend and I heard it was closer than that. That scoring margin was very impressive for Scott Co. considering all the other scores I have seen from their games.

I wouldn't say that it was because of Scott County's defense as much as it was that the Camels could just not make a shot. They had many open looks and even had offensive rebounds and second chance opportunities. They couldn't stop Scott County, especially their big guys. If Campbell County would have shot better from the field this would have been a 20-25 point win.

Not sure what happened to the Camels in this game but I believe that they will get it together for the districts. But it will be up to the players, they will need to make the plays and show the determination to win. For the seniors this is it, it is game time and down to the wire and I know that they want to go out a winner and leave it all on the court. I for one say.......GO CAMELS, play hard and have fun! Forget this game there are more important ones to come.

Last year the Camels had a defense that anchored their team and this year it has all but vanished. Anyone who sits through the punishment that is a Campbell County game can see that.

 

Instead of the players playing with intensity, determination and confidence they play with fear and an overall dislike of the game as a whole. Code's boys aren't allowed to play the way they know how, the way that got them on the team in the first place.

 

With every trip up the floor there is an overwhelming mood of panic and apprehension. No one can make a mistake or they face the black hole that is the bench, no one can play to their potential.

 

This team is out played and out coached night in and night out. As a fan you expect them to lose. If they're up you just think to yourself "How are they going to throw this one away?"

 

IMO barring an absolute act of god they will most likely be ousted first round of districts. Funny thing is, that may not bother them.

I agree they would be better off playing like a pick up game. They have so much potential and talent, but that system is just not working. Code needs to give them the green light. When your out there playing your gonna make mistakes, they can't get scared of getting taken out. And that is how it is at this point.

I've only seen about five of their games this year, but I've obviously missed this? It seems they only go about 6-7 deep and the big 3 never come out regardless of what they do. How do you say they can't make one mistake for fear of coming out?? I don't think they've tailed off, but meerly gotten to the "real" part of their schedule??
