I agree they would be better off playing like a pick up game. They have so much potential and talent, but that system is just not working. Code needs to give them the green light. When your out there playing your gonna make mistakes, they can't get scared of getting taken out. And that is how it is at this point.

I wouldn't say that it was becuase of Scott County's defense as much as it was that the Camels could just not make a shot. They had many open looks and even had offensive rebounds and second chance opportunities. They couldn't stop Scott County, especially their big guys. If Campbell County would have shot better from the field this would have been a 20-25 point win.

I've only seen about five of their games this year, but I've obviously missed this? It seems they only go about 6-7 deep and the big 3 never come out regardless of what they do. How do you say they can't make one mistake for fear of coming out?? I don't think they've tailed off, but meerly gotten to the "real" part of their schedule??

True the big 3 never come out but as for Smith, Neises, Wolf and Geiman if they make one mistake they are benched. I don't think someone who has seen 5 games can honestly have an opinion on this subject that can be based on any real fact. Depending on which 5 you have seen this team could look like a Regional Champ or a team that gets ousted in the first round of Districts by 40.

 

I can finally say I've had about enough of people thinking just because people have a problem with Code's coaching that we all want Reitz back for another go around. NO ONE has ever said that. I also always enjoy how the Brossart faithful can so easily defend Code when hes obviously doing a sub-par job. Code's year this year has been quite Reitz like, results wise. The Camels main problem is the offensive side of the ball where if you have seen more than five games will take a lot longer than a week before districts to make any sort of change.

 

As individuals they are great players with a ton of talent, but as a single unit under this offensive system they are downright awful. Don't get me wrong I'm not blaming the boys for a very very poor game plan. They do all they can but its like they're bringing a knife to a gunfight every time they dribble the ball up the floor.

Wow--Tough assessment?? Agree they've been kind of inconsistant, but in general, other than maybe CovCath and Newport; they have pretty much won the ones they were expected to, and lost the ones they probably should have? Unfortunately, they had a schedule which tended to bunch some easier games to the front, and then quite a few tougher ones more recently; which might have given a sense of unrealistic expectations? Good luck to them the remainder of the season!!

Were you at the game? The first quarter Campbell was 1-18 from the field and 0-10 from the 3 point line. They had alot of open shots, they just couldn't connect. Campbell actuallly out rebounded Scott in the first quarter 14-11. Thats pretty good since Scott has two 6'8 guys and Campbells tallest player is 6'5.

 

Scott did pretty much dominate. What im wondering is what is up with Scott County's press? 1-3-1 with Euton up front. They better not try that on an athletic team like Holmes or Elliot, They will blow by Euton every time.

I don't think Holmes is too worried about how much Scott Co can be Campbell Co by. Holmes is worried about getting out of the 9th. Then we will talk about the happenings at Rupp.
