I think one of his high school receivers is the son of Will Smith. He has the pedigree, that's for sure. How much pressure would that be to have Joe Montana as your father. I can't imagine. How could you possibly live up to those standards? Hopefully, he will get a chance based on his own merits, but that last name looms awfully large!

Nate Montana is a freshman walk on at Notre Dame. 6'4" 200lbs. Was 3rd string at De La Salle HS, but offered a preferred walk on status. He looks even more like his dad than Nick does.
February 16, 200917 yr He has some great offers to date, but after looking at his highlight tape on Rivals.com, I really do not see what the coaches of these big-time programs are seeing. I would assume these are of his junior season and the highlights are not overly impressive in my opinion. I want to see more before I am sold.

He had scholarship offers from other schools based on camps. Think about Matt Cassell, never started a college game EVER and was on an NFL roster.
