February 16, 200917 yr This is funny to read. I can't believe Blockbuster has people is such an uproar. I agree though I have kept a movie that long truthfully because I had forgot about it. It happens. It better not happen in Corbin Mister! :madman: I am just having some fun Les. :isurrender:

February 16, 200917 yr BTW, I haven't rented movies in years, and used to turn them in a little late every now and then. However, I am guilty of keeping library books WAY too long. :isurrender: I'm glad that I am not perfect. That must be exhausting! :lol:

Let me start by saying has anyone heard of indemand you can just purchase movies from the comfort of your own house and not have to worry about returning movies late or not. Now I have sat back and read everyones stories but lets try to look at this saga from the companies point of view. Had the gentlemen not kept the movie out for 20 days they (Blockbuster) maybe could have rented the movie 2-3 times more but since he didn't return the movie, that means the company/owner is loosing money because someone didn't return the movie. But really people I want to thanks you all for giving me a good story to look at. In the meantime, check out InDemand really saves you gas since you don't have to run back and forth to the movie store. Have a good day!!
February 16, 200917 yr I quit going to Blockbuster 8 years ago. Awful customer service back then...it doesn't seem to have gotten any better. I had Netflix forever, but ended it and now just rent from Wild and Wooly.

February 16, 200917 yr What is Wild and Wooly?An independent rental store here in Louisville. They have a better selection and are much friendlier than Blockbuster. Plus I can support a locally owned business that way.

February 16, 200917 yr Funny story about late fees... I had just turned 18. Naturally, I wanted to do everything an 18 year old was allowed to do. I bought a pack of smokes, played the lottery and of course, rented an adult movie. The rental was for 4 days. We were leaving for Florida for a two week vacation. I forgot to turn the movie in. We get back from Florida and I have 1 letter and a few messages on the answering machine about the movie I had rented. The messages and letters even stated the title of the movie. Pretty embarrassing moment between me and my mom. My dad got a kick out of it though:lol: That is hilarious. :laugh: It reminds me of that move CLERKS when the parent walks into the video store and asks for Happy Scrappy something and the guy is on the phone ordering Adult movies from the Distributor. LOL
