I read the link. Thanks. Do you think she really paid for the movies? I did get my card out and offered to pay. Now I think about it she seemed really unstable. I'm going to call tomorrow to see if I can get any better answers. What a trip. Like I said, they they won't recieve another dime from me.

I think she was playing you. I don't buy it.

Possibility that she acted like she paid for them in hopes you took them and then they could actually charge you for them.

I really don't care who has had movies late for more than 20 days. IMO that just shows laziness and irresponsiblity unless you were sick or had something very important come up.

When they (BlockBuster) say there are no late fees why would I worry about going out of my way to make sure they are back in their 3-4 days.

Just wondering how many kids do you have? I'm not saying you don't have any so don't get all defensive... I'm honestly wondering.

I have two and we've maybe had one late charge in more than five years at blockbuster and that was a day because of sickness. Is that OK with you?

You're right, but consider this: Back in the day, when I did the Blockbuster thing, I was a single mom, with two kids, one swimming, one playing basketball, football, and on two different baseball teams, including fall ball. There was Girl Scouts too, and work, and grocery shopping, and homework, and housework, and....sometimes I was running so much I'd forget where I was going.

 

Now, I don't have those excuses for my Netflix movies. But, I still seem to be rushing out the door in the mornings. I'm better, but I confess....unless I remember to put them with my purse the night before, I forget in the morning. And after I get home from a 12 hour day at work, I usually am trying to scurry around find something quick for dinner, get some more work done, maybe throw in a load of laundry and walk the dog before I go to bed.

 

I try hard to remember to take them with me on the weekends when I'm walking the dog. That works best for me.

I know how that is, but I'm sure you don't wait 20 DAYS to turn something in. That's just ridiculous and if I know I've got my hands full with all of those responsibilities, like I have, then maybe I don't put myself in that situation.

If what's wrong with this world is a couple of late movies then we are in deeper than I thought. There are bigger fish to fry than worry about how long someone has your favorite copy of 'Barbie as the Island Princess'.

Don't have to my friend. Keeping a movie out for 20 days is irresponsible. Plain and simple. This is a thread and I can post my thoughts on here if I want. I hope you enjoyed Barbie as the Island Princess. :thumb:
