Good or Bad for Elliott?

 

I honestly don't know. Anyone would say that playing a team capable of beating them, on their home floor in an elimination game would be the worst thing possible.

 

Although this seems bad for Elliott, the team they have now has a tendency to blow East Carter out on their court.

 

The good thing, is that fans will get to see a supposedly 16th Region Title game matchup in advance. The winner of that game will be crowned Regional Champions.:dancingpa

With 2 thru 4 being so even I would say East(home team) would not be the ideal draw.

Well one thing is for sure it showed it tonight against the 63rd. Now if only Elliott can squeeze past Russell Tues. night the 62nd will have swept the 63rd. The pressure is on Elliott to come through.

I definitely agree, though there wasn't a great draw available. The regional is on a collegiate court which is neutral, so I believe this is their most dangerous game to be eliminated before the state tourney. I wouldn't say that this game is the regional championship by any means, whatsoever.

You could make an argument for this, but Raceland and Lewis are not top 5 teams by any stretch.

It took 3 votes to put seeding in that year and it will take 3 votes to take it out, so East or West one would have to vote to take it out.

That may be right. I just remembered the 2-2 votes for years that didn't allow seeding (but I would say you are right about the majority to change the setup).

 

As far as Morgan being unhappy with East, the way I understand it (and please correct me if I am wrong), East's assertion that their showcase loss in Lexington WAS a tournament game played a major role in the original brackets. It wasn't until after Morgan petitioned KHSAA to clarify the definition of a "tournament" that the district had to be decided by a coin flip. If I am wrong on this issue, please correct me.
