I think that it is fair to say that both teams played equally last night and had an equal fan support. With that being said, the only other determinant factor was the referees. There was a stat posted earlier about the freethrow situation, which was a heavily lopsided proportion, 27-10 favoring Elliott Co. (Not to mention that 2 of the 10 for East came from an assessed technical foul). So basically you can reduce that to 27:8, which is more than 3:1. I thought one ref was #1 rated in the region and another did a lot of college basketball games? Surely, he doesn't call those games like that...

East Carter could not win that game tonight. The officials weren't about to let the #2 team in the state get beat out in the first round of the districts.

Congratulations to Elliott Co. I thought East had their number tonight, but unfortunately for the Raider, Elliott had two teams playing for them. BTW the other team I am referring to had 3 players wearing striped shirts and one is supposedly rated #1 in the region?? Terrible officiated game.

I wasn't necessarily referring to the breaks, just what fouls will and won't be called. In the game with the outcome of East by 2, it will be a tightly called.

Elliott will be playing for the 16th Region Title and trip to Rupp Tuesday night. Does anyone know the officials for this game? If so, I can make a very accurate prediction on the point differential. Without the informaton, I'll take East by 2 points.

No. People just usually try to take the 5 players and fill them in a roster some way. Usually listed like G G F F F, so all three F could be a 3 or even a 2.

Having long arms might give him an advantage to block more shots, but it doesn't change the way you block a shot. A block is a block, MSUEagles didn't seem clear on his point.
