MRS.My Goodness Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Most Three Point Field Goals Made - Career (Min. 250) # Player (School) Years 407 Ty Rogers (Lyon Co.) 1999-04 398 Ryan Cochran (St. Mary) 1998-02 328 Ronny Dawn (Newport Central Catholic) 1997-01 311 Chris Harrison (Tollesboro) 1987-91 301 Charley Broughton (Apollo) 1988-91 290 Robert Pendleton (Webster Co.) 1998-2002 288 Dontaie Smith (North Hardin) 1994-98 281 Michael Hall (South Floyd) 1999-03 278 Mitchell McClure (Calloway Co.) 1999-03 277 Brett Meredith (Edmonson Co.) 1999-03 262 Brandon Stockton (Glasgow) 1999-02 258 Donnie Criswell (Monticello) 1988-91 254 Kenneth Woods (Oneida Baptist) 1998-02 252 Patrick Sparks (Muhlenberg North) 1998-01 Jonathan Ferguson has scored 3220 to be at number eleven on All time scoring list. I saw where he now has 278+ career three's to make the All time three point list at number nine. He also should move up on both before his career is finished Congrat's Jonathan! Will sure miss watching you buddy.
Nets Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 What makes Jonathan more appealing to collegiate coaches is his ability to elevate and shoot, create, etc. There are a lot of good 'set shooters' around, but he makes 3's from 22-24 feet with people in his jersey...he has strength to elevate and get shot off vs. bigger defenders. And I have never seen a player in the 16th region make more off balanced shots in the lane in my life!:thumb:
Nets Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Of the people on that list...Mikey Hall at South Floyd was one entertaining shooter! He could play it.
racer4life Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Congrats to Ferg he is an incredible player and we sure are going to miss watching him when he's gone.

Dawn started at Marshall and Sparks became a starter at UK. Who else on that list? I would think the vast majority of shooters of this quality would be D1 starters but it doesn't look like that is true.
NKYBOY1487 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I saw this list and thought I remembered talking about another name a few years ago. Jackson Capel of Heritage Acadamy. I thought he got to 3000pts, but I could be wrong. Does anyone remember this or know where he finished?

mooremiller31 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Rogers started some at WKU and came off the bench some just depended on the matchups. Rogers did make a pretty incredible shot though when it mattered for WKU.

KY Baller Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 How is Chris Lofton not on this list, he is easily the best shooter to ever come out of Kentucky.
The Fireman Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Where is Ferguson playing college basketball?
MRS.My Goodness Posted February 23, 2009 Author Posted February 23, 2009 How is Chris Lofton not on this list, he is easily the best shooter to ever come out of Kentucky. I would guess that he never made 250 or more three's. That is what it takes to make the list.

Clyde Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Has Ferguson committed to a college yet? Wofford maybe?
