I feel they played rather comparable yesterday.

:thumb: Calathes was responsible for at worst 42 of Florida's points yesterday. Meeks was responsible for 51 of UK's. Calathes had 10 boards, Meeks 7. Pretty darn similar if you ask me.

I think its nothing short of amazing what hes done. When teams box and 1 you a lot and are focus of every team's defense to do what he does and still shoot the % he does is impressive. And at this point he should be a 1st team All American.

He had a ton of run outs and a plethora of open looks yesterday. I disagree on him being a first team all american, his gaudy stats have come mostly againt pretty bad teams.

2 of his 4 runouts were steals that he got. Anyways take a look at this. This is Meeks current season compared to JJ Redick's senior season. And don't tell me Meeks doesn't get the same defensive attention Redick does.

JJ Redick

26.8 ppg, 47 %fg, 42% 3 pt fg, 86% ft,

2 rpg, 2.3 apg, 1.4 spg

Jodie Meeks

25.8 ppg, 48.2 fg%, 44 3pt fg%, 88 ft%

3.8 rpg, 1.6 apg, 1.4 spg

I really want to hear you say that Calathes played better than Meeks yesterday.

Keep in mind he missed more shots than Meeks yet scored 39 less points...

HE HAD A TRIPLE DOUBLE, until today, they took one away......he contributed directly to 40+ points, they are comparable games at worst.

So now he doesn't have a triple double. That points kindof out the window.

But he's not JJ.

Please tell me Cathles had a better game than Meeks...

BTW it's 9 reb's

Pretty close, a couple of things...there weren't other freaks out there stealing attention from JJ his senior year. JJ played against MUCH, MUCH tougher competition, and his team was MUCH, MUCH better. Other than that, pretty close. Also, was JJ's A/TO ratio a -2?

What about all the missed shot Cathles had, does that go against him? Did it hurt his team team that he had the worst FG% on his team yesterday? Meeks almost doubled his FG% does Meeks get no credit for that?...

That's what somebody on here said.

How does saying they played comparable, mean that he played better?

Meeks has been a one man show. IMO that put's more pressure on him than JJ had in that aspect.

Because you said earlier that he proved why he is the SEC's best player and you keep making his case, Kinda wish you would crap or get off the pot.

There were some really bad teams in the ACC that year like Wake Forest who I believe he may have had his 2 biggest games against. I did'n't even compare Redick's junior year to Meeks when he shot 40% from the field and averaged 21 points. Anyways your arguement is weak.
